Loud And Deep. A 15+ minute journey back to a time when you laughed your ass off every time someone mentioned a fart or burp. And I'm not kidding. Do you think you can regress yourself that far back? Once you start this short, you'll have no problem doing so. And if you're still at that age now? You'll love this film that much more!
In a nutshell, Loud And Deep centers around Wilbur. The garden variety grown-up nerdy kind of dude. Wilbur (Michael J Sielaff) has had a rough run at life so far, but on this day, through sheer luck... that's about to change. At it's heart, this is a revenge movie. But not in the ordinary sense. Loud And Deep is the ultimate revenge movie for the young and young at heart. And if you still love toilet comedy then you're going to laugh. As their saying goes in Wilbur's world: Just try and hold it in! A great pun by the way. I gotta say that I really enjoyed this short. I laughed and giggled as my wife looked at me smirking, then, by the end, completely shaking her head in disbelief. She didn't get it, but I did. And, I loved every second. Long live the fart jokes! And I GOTTA get myself one of those remotes! The films visuals and editing were spot on. I can't think of even 1 scene that didn't look right. Clearly, some care and experience were put into this production. And it shows. Bright and sleek and full of a bunch of little things that screamed: "See! I told you I was a pro!". Like-wise goes for sound. Crisp and clear. But one of the real bright spots are the actors themselves. Damn. Every character seemed to fit perfectly into this little world of gags. Everyone seemed just right! I love movies where the actors all nail it! High five everyone! Now, there are some minor problems here. And I hate to bring them up. But then again, they're small. For me, and again... I know it seems I'm nit-picking, but some of the transitions brought me right out of the film. Some worked well, even some of the whacky ones. But one or 2 of them just swung me right back to my living room. I understand their placement, with this being 'That' type of film. But for me... one or so to many. Again, not a big deal. My other complaint is not really a complaint at all. I thought it was to short! LOL There's so much more that could have been done here! I would have liked to have seen a little more. Overall, this was a fun movie that really had me chuckling. Maybe Loud And Deep isn't for everyone, but then again, what really is? If you're not quite ready to settle in that Lazyboy, reading a paper and sipping Tea... Then you'll get a kick out of this. Loud And Deep, easily earns a 4 / 5.0 in my books.
